Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
1. Overview
IndiaInfoHub ("the Website", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you visit and use the Website.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of IndiaInfoHub, regardless of how they access the Website (desktop, mobile, tablet, or any other device).
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
IndiaInfoHub is built to be privacy-friendly. We do not collect personal data that directly identifies you. Specifically, we do not:
- Require user registration or account creation.
- Ask for your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Use login systems, passwords, or authentication mechanisms.
- Sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We do, however, use cookies for analytics and (where enabled) advertising, and we may include affiliate links. These are explained in the sections below.
3. Local Storage (Browser Data)
The Website uses your browser's localStorage mechanism for the following purposes only:
| Storage Key | Purpose | Data Stored | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
indiainfohub_lang |
Language preference | Language code (e.g., "en", "hi", "bn") | Until manually cleared |
indiainfohub_searches |
Recent search history | Last few search queries (local only) | Until manually cleared |
Important: All localStorage data is stored entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear Site Data).
4. Cookies
IndiaInfoHub and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure how the Website is used (see Section 6).
- Advertising cookies — where advertising is enabled, third-party vendors set cookies to serve and measure ads (see Section 7).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising as described in Section 7. We do not use cookies to collect information that directly identifies you.
5. Third-Party API Requests
When you use Website features, your browser makes direct requests to third-party API providers. These requests may transmit certain technical information (such as your IP address) directly to the API provider:
| API Provider | Data Sent | Provider's Privacy |
|---|---|---|
| PostalPinCode.in | PIN code or post office name | Government of India |
| Open-Meteo | City name / coordinates | open-meteo.com/terms |
| ExchangeRate-API | Currency code, amount | exchangerate-api.com/terms |
| Razorpay IFSC | IFSC code | razorpay.com/privacy |
| Nager.Date | Country code, year | date.nager.at |
| Open-Meteo AQI | City coordinates | open-meteo.com/terms |
| USGS Earthquake | Geographic bounds, date range | usgs.gov/privacy |
IndiaInfoHub does not act as an intermediary for these requests. Your browser communicates directly with these API providers. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
6. Analytics
IndiaInfoHub uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Website. GA4 collects anonymous, aggregate usage data including:
- Pages visited and time spent on pages.
- Geographic region (country/city level, not precise location).
- Device type, browser, and operating system.
- Referral source (how you found the Website).
GA4 does not collect personally identifiable information. We use this data solely to improve the Website's content and user experience. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any other tracking services.
7. Advertising
The Website may display advertising provided by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks. These vendors use cookies (including Google's advertising cookies) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
8. Affiliate Links
Some pages contain affiliate links to financial products and other services. If you click such a link and complete an action (for example, opening an account), we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never influence our editorial content, and we are not responsible for the products or the practices of third-party providers — always review their current terms before applying.
9. Children's Privacy
IndiaInfoHub is a general-purpose information website suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal data, there are no specific risks to children's privacy. However, we recommend that minors use the internet under parental guidance.
10. Data Security
Since IndiaInfoHub does not collect or store any personal data on its servers, the risk of data breaches affecting user information is eliminated. The Website is served over HTTPS, ensuring that all communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted.
For data stored in your browser's localStorage, security is managed by your browser's built-in security mechanisms (same-origin policy).
11. Your Rights
As a user of IndiaInfoHub, you have the right to:
- Clear local data: Remove any localStorage data at any time through your browser settings.
- Access the Website anonymously: No registration or identification is required.
- Use privacy tools: The Website functions normally with VPNs, ad blockers, and privacy extensions.
- Opt out: Since we don't collect data, there is nothing to opt out of.

- Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and IT Rules, 2011.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
